Experiences having the past week have told me that there are so many young men who would be artists or musicians because they are weak. Their weakness is an illness of their lives and they cannot fight it, for they do not know what men must always fight and overcome.
It is weakness to submit. Manhood demands courage and self-confidence. It means having dreams; it means having great dreams; to paint a coastline from north to south; to write a book on vastness.
The people are weak - all over the city; in night clubs, in beer joints. They laugh a nervous laugh. They sing - of decadence. They are all gay and at ease - but only when they are drugged by the futility of the times.
Recently I have had clear visions of the hard life - the lonely way and the only meaningful and useful life.
