I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communications dated June 4, 1866 and enclose herewith certified copy of contract between Mr. Jesse Warren and Virginia Swearing in, or Cain and her two Sons, also affidavit of Mr. Allen Tarrent White and Isaac Buie Freedman. You will perceive that Virginia has two names, but I think that will not make any difference as she is the person that contracted with Mr. Warren and made the affidavit before Thomas G. Decell Mayor & Co.

The two boys have returned to Mr. Warrens place, they having run away from Hardy Cain and State that Mr. Cain threatened to kill them if they want back to Mr. Warren, as this is the third time they have carried these two boys off. I respectfully request that you have this
