Traded for some ducks & geese and a few Ethnological specimens and went on my way.  A favorable breeze afforded us an opportunity to sail a short distance when the oars again came in play.
Just before sunset we approached Whale Is. [[Island]] off the Redoubt point and as we were passing slowly along several Belugas came playing about us thrusting the top of their heads out of the water and with a slow puff throw the air out of their lungs then eyeing us for an instant they would slowly bend down their heads
and smooth while surface of their backs would be visible 3 or 4 inches out of water as they went down.
We soon rounded the point and landed at the Redoubt.
