Out of glint, speck, spangle I formulate a language of color, accent, emphasis, interval, position + direction for my seas. And seas can move from shore to horizon, to the air of the sky.

I must indicate the horizon in all my sea paintings. It is my big reference to the world of nature. It defines that space. It takes my painting away from the picture plane, away from art, and into the space of nature, into nature itself. It defies art and celebrates nature.
