[[strikethrough]] In the am [[/strikethrough]] Then he drove me over (at 2 pm) to The Academy (where Gerry & LU [[strikethrough]] were want [[/strikethrough]] were) to see the few pcs [[pieces]] of jade & some ceramics, ptgs [[paintings]] etc. Then to the Church (Methodist?) next to Acad. which Preiss had designed. Sunnie & Carl joined us there. Sunnie then drove us to a show of Honolulu artist. Awful stuff - concoctions. Then to a wood-bowl store - House of Kalai (?) - bot [[bought]] 2 monkeypod 4x14 bowls, & had them sent 1 to the Klines (Manzanita) & other to us in NY. Only 12 each & 3.50 ea. for packing & mailing.

In the am at 10 Nellene Smith & Francis Haar arrived at L.U's to tape me on art & The Faultline & East Kauai (latter was in Preiss' ofc on floor 28x33 ($2000). Ed's & Sunnie's looked very vigorous & fresh.

Supper at LU's - sushi & pig's feet. Audrey, Sylvia & Howard over after supper.
