[[strikethrough]] Otter [[/strikethrough]] Rocky Crest Wayside (green grass, dark rocks) a view of incredible Cape Foulweather, Otter Crest Wayside Park, view of Otter Rock, + the Lookout on Cape Foulweather with its 2 fine views, Devil's Punchbowl State Park where I bought more rocks (agates, jaspers) in a little coffee shop. The view was of a yellowish sandstone formation. Just to the south a beach. Then Beverly Beach State Park, past Newport, to Waldport, then to the Edgewater Motel just s. of Waldfort for the night.

The cabin we took was right on the beach. It was warm + sunny at [[the numbers 6 and 7 are written on top of each other, unclear as to which he meant]] + we enjoyed the view of the sea + the beach. Sat out on the grass + walked along the beach. Then to dinner in Waldport. Back to the motel - moonlight on the water. The Pacific!

The next day (Sunday) drove down to Yachats(!) to a fine ledge of rocks full of anemones + mussels + starfish. A low tide. Looked in vain for clams. Had lunch in a little sheltered sandy cove. Then back to Waldport - more rocks + cards in a shop, to p.o., to "Yacht Club" for delicious pie + i.c. Then to a side road leading to pool of huge baybridge - sand dunes, wild verbena, tiny clams, + craw-dads (!) funny crustacea that live in sand.
