Sun 27th June - A long wasted day. woke up feeling ill & stayed in bed all day with an upset stomach. A bit of nausea, and an unwell stomach. Chris came over + talked about his plans + dreams - equipping his truck fully into a self-sufficient house, driving thru the Rockies, the Can. Rockies, Baja, etc.. having a garden & a greenhouse. He brought us some ginseng root & we all had tea. Later Tom came over with Rosemary + told us about his life (or some of it) - his rebellion + his vague plans. After supper of canned soup at 9:30, the sunset pink + grey - back to bed. It was still light at 10. Mon 28th Ju. Another not too memorable day - recuperating from yesterday + maybe getting more food. Fred came by to say goodbye. Packed. Drove into Arch Cape to Far West Rock Shop (the best so far) + bought a brown-yellow agate for $2.10. Returned to the beach here because it is the most desirable of all the beaches around here. Walked the firm strand to Elk Creek in front of the village - and back, photographed driftwood, etc. Tom came over for a chat.
