Bought a Mexican lime tree & a lichee tree for 2.50 each. Went fishing for [[?]] before supper. After supper- slides - ill-sorted with suumie and lads. 

Wed July 28- Still [[strikethrough]] curis [[/strikethrough]] curiously uninvolved or unnerved by the landscape, or idea of landscape- except in short bursts of fresh views. To Anahola beach for a dip, shower, and a look at the peak. Made a sketch. Ogo-lots of it- picked from the edge of the reef & stuffed underwater into a plastic bag. To the Mandala shop (bottles etc.)

July 29th At last, I painted. An acrylic of Anahola Mountain. 

Fri- A full day of sightseeing. With Harvey to Kokee. ([[Sunine?]] & kids in their car) To Hanapepe- 1 mall old shops. Hanapepe Valley view. Up the 13 mi road (the scarred burned earth. Hematite) To Waimea Canyon. Spectacular, awesome. (Looked for purple lilikoi with Michael) To Kokee - lunch in pavilion - museum (shells, birds, cards, flowers, botany) then to the upper new lookout. All mist. It parted in half an hr. a great panorama to lower lookout. All mist. A curious lilikoi (banana shaped fruit) blackberries, koa trees (alias "silver oak").
