Blake was reserved but I think our contacts over the D. C. Flora and The Anklet let me somewhat within the shell. He was a sound character and thoroughly dependable.

I trust that his vast bibliographic work reached some natural node and that any parts remaining in manuscript may be published.

The world is poorer, I am poorer, for his passing. Comfort for you it is idle to hope for; only time can bring it. But I can hope for it with all my might. Believe me there are tears in my eyes for all three of us, at this signing.
