Mrs. Blake

Dear Madam,

All those that knew Dr. Blake have been shocked this morning when learning about the passing away of your husband.

You can be sure he is remember by all us not only for the remarkable botanist he was, but also for his high qualities of good compassion and charming person.

No doubt his disappearance is a loss for the Science of your country and for the Botany of America.

Would these, our lines, convey to you all our sympathy to accompany you in your great grief.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Yorel
