September 24, 1923.

Mr. Glen Stewart,
1700 Eutaw Place,
Baltimore, Maryland.

My dear Mr. Stawirt [[Stewart]]:-

Nearly a year ago you were kind enough to send us a small box of specimens from the North Sebago region and, owing to a combination of circumstances, an acknowledgment was never sent to you. When the package was received it was opened in the office of the Director who asked me to write you and thank you for your kindness. As no letter accompanied the package and, as the wrapper from the package was destroyed there was no way of determining your address.
This summer when I went to camp I sent to the Post Office and there obtained your address which accounts for this somewhat delayed word of thanks for your thoughtfulness. We greatly appreciated your goodness and I hope you may care to look us up some time when you are in New York so that we can show you what the Museum is doing in the way of caring for Indian productions.
I had a rather hard time of it in camp this year. Had pneumonia and was flat on my back in the Cuimby Camp for nearly two months but the air was good and I really feel that it was a good place to be sick.
Again thanking you for our help and hoping to see you again in the not distant future, I am,
Sincerely Yours,
