Everything seemed to tend to make the occasion a happy one. The day before Christmas brought brightness and cheer in the way of a gorgeous burst of color on my desk, from you, and a generous remembrance from the Trustees, so I went to sleep that night with pleasant thoughts and keen anticipations for the morrow. How well my anticipations were gratified you well know, for you and yours made it possible, so to you and to dear George G. I raise my voice in loud acclaim - to friends who are tried and true and whose great love seems never failing.
