Dear Doris-
Well this is after dinner Pa has written his letter, and now is my time for writing. Lena is upstairs getting her clothes together for going back to Maynard a ride she dreads its long, and tedious. This day is windy but pleasant, so I took advantage of it and did some heavy washing and now feel tired. Pa's flannels are on the line and are drying, for the thermometer is 60 above freezing. I washed a flannel sheet off of Lenas bed. My cold is better but my head is bad, from the effects of eataral cold, makes you feel mean all over last night it was in my eyes Lena has sprayed my nostrils with something she had used for hers, which clears my head wonderfully. Wednesday I rested all day and she got dinner and supper and Thursday we were invited to Mr Pings for the evening, they had ice cream and cake two kinds
