Doris

We woke up Monday in snow storm about inch or more so Wednesday and Friday the streets were pretty icy the autos had packed it down and the sun did the rest but today all mud again most 50 above now. Tuesday afternoon I had Sylvester. We cut the chestnut and finished cutting the top and Thursday pruned with a big saw. we cut it in four foot pieces and split it. It was just 2 ft through where we cut it off leaving about 2 1/2 ft to put of [[?]] boxes on, and I counted over a hundred rings so you see it was old. I am trying to give the one at the street to McDonald think he will take it. He cut the oak for mother and am trying to pay that way. I have about 2 cords now ready for the sawing machine think it be all we shall need this year
