Dear Doris-
This is an April showering day, first rain, and then sun, Lena has gone after being with us two weeks and is in much better condition, than when she came, she says tell Doris, "I stump her to go to Arizona" I think she feels the need of going to a different climate, if she means to stay with us long.
Last Thursday she went in town and bought her some warm union suits, and woolen stockins Miss Hollis called her up on our phone, and told her to come in for she had a silk petticoat for her, it was a pretty navy blue, and a nice one too, she also gave Pa a nice silk tie, and Lena brought home a pretty silk scarfe for him, it matches his grey suite, she bought me a dress and a pair of rubbers and is talking of getting a sewing machine.
