We are sending some cards that came to you here

Stoughton Dec 26th 1920

Dear Doris-

Well Xmas is indeed over without snow which is the best of all. We have fared well this year better than we deserved I think. I am wearing the new felt juliets this morning, and they are feeling warm, for this is a cold day. Lena has got on two pairs of stockins, and her old "stubups," that were in the closet, she is feeling more like herself now. Your presents were all that I would appreciate and pick out for my self if I were to study up my immediate needs. I only had one warm night dress. The petticoat too is going to be very comfortable, as it is always cold going out and doing so many chores, in then cotton dresses. Those pictures were fine, and we were much pleased with them, so Pa had them put up over your picture, in the sitting room, the very first thing, where we can all feast our eyes on them, and it's the next best-thing to having the originals. That was a very pretty chain and no danger of breaking. Color was appropriate for me too. Lena gave me a green one
