Dear Doris-
This day has opened with a fine siftin snowstorm which is steadily increasing as the day advances, so that now, the ground is getting quite white with the stuff. Pa is home sick to see it come. I have not succeeded in getting the silk for those ties, but Pa got some in town, that was not satisfactory, so we will have to send it back. I am going to Brockton the first of this week to see what I can do there. We are alone today I have been quite busy this week on jackets but have finished them and am waiting for more yarn. We have had some nice sunny weather up to now, so that we hardly needed to run the heater. Our Thanksgiving won't ammount [[amount]] to much this year. turkeys are too high to tempt us so guess an old hen will come nearer to what we will have Pa says a fricasee with biscuits you know, he is fond of it and has invited Morey up.
