Pa has fixed the flower bed and to night after the sun goes down a little we are going to set out the asters. I think too of putting out the geraniums in pots so as to get them used to the weather before setting them in the ground. Last Sunday night after Lena went off, I called on Helen she was glad to see me and feels her lonliness pretty keenly, its hard to see one so weak among strangers, she talks in a whisper and has'nt a bit of strength and cant think very fast, she will go soon, I think, she spoke of coming here with me, but I cant have her, her room is so hot and thats the way it has to be, its her nerves that ails her chiefly. I must go down this week and see about some shoes Pa thinks I can get [[??]] downtown but I dont know about it, I will try. The sweater got here about Friday. Did your dress get greased from the doughnuts, Lena was sure they would, Saturday before she went she cut out her silk, that her sister gave her, so if she wants to, she can give it to Georgia Perkins to make up she is fussy about her clothes I wouldnt care to do her work. well I hope the skirt she gave you will do you some good
This is all for now Ma
