a pretty good lot in Cellar at present but the coal has gone fast this winter. I will try and start the last two weeks paper to you, telling about the Town Meetings  by the way about every body down town has a cellar full of water  at Store up to my knees on to Dr Rose house  still more have tried for two days to flush it out but it comes in again - at Post Office a small Gas Pump at work all the time and Dr Sever Block has 2ft deep curet [[current?]] keeps the [[?]] a going  we are dry here at home. Some came in to the Bruce cellar but it goes out quick so they say  I have not troubled my self as he did not shovel any away to let it run  Every body all well.

Looks like he is trying to say "Dr. Sever's block" has 2 ft..." There are no people with the last name Seven, besides the last letter looks like an "r".
