Dear Doris

I will write you a few lines before Pa comes home as it is eight oclock and my crotcheting is done for the day. Bobbie lies here on the rug at my feet. we have just been over to water Killie my rubbers, (Pa's) would not stay on my feet, so I had to skuff along and Bob could hardly walk, his hind legs are awful bad these days, so I was glad to get back again. Well we have had two more snow storms this week, but they were both light compared with the blizzard of last week. Lena wont come out this week end no train has come out yet, to night, but its most time now for one to bring out the folks. To day has been a lovely day over head with a south wind this after noon, I have dried my clothes that I hung out since three o'clock and washed up my back room floors. So I will be clean no matter what comes. Pa has brought home a new roast of pork home raised pig. .30 a pound and I made two double loaves of bread and made an apple pie and a berry pie which was the extent of my cooking to day, we are out of eggs, but I have a little cake left from last Saturdays baking. Pa brought home a shin bone for Bobbie from Pie's after she had cut off all the meat
