I have been so busy that I have not been down to Blakes this week Ralph and Maud were here Sunday night, they were covered with snow when they entered, as it snowed hard for a few hours then turned into rain and grew cold.

Pa has just called from the radio to come and listen to St Pauls, he says good singing come see" awhile ago we were listening to the chimes in Providence, they came in very clear to us its a great institution.

We had a letter from Lena this week she had told us to take some of the syrup she had sent down from Vermont here, so Pa took out a pint jar to sample and Friday night for supper, I made some griddle cakes of part indian meal, and had that on them, and it went pretty good now. We had some herrins, they were the first of the season, they were also good. Next the dandelions will be ready for digging such things are good for the blood I suppose. I love them better than spinnage but many prefer the latter. I suppose you are riding off some where to day enjoying the birds and flowers our maples are in bloom and the forsythias are showing the tinge of yellow in their bud I see. Yesterday afternoon the fire alarm rung in 52 for a fire down back of the Orthodox church, Paines Old blacksmith shop, and it looked one spell as thoug the Hodges girls house would surely go, but it didnt, we thought it was lucky it didnt happen in the night. I am afraid of our backyard getting a fire so many go through at all hours of the night but trust to luck well there isnt much to write about as I dont see people or go anywhere so good luck to you.
