Monday night it began to snow and the snow plow cleared it down to the bass Lee again early Tuesday morning half past 3 Cline's Store house was afire and the whole Dept came up it was all lighted up in the neighborhood for they blew in 42 cor of [[Prespect & Walnut?]]. Tuesday Evening just around nine another blow from 42. and they learned  to stop at Elems house. it seems the heater set fire to some of the covering to the Pipes, but was out before they got here we did not go to Walpole as Fred wife had been sick for 2 Days and the Roads were pretty poor. Thursday it snowed [[again?]] turned to rain in the night then began to freeze early Friday and it was some going I drove the old fellow in places up to his knees in [[?]] and Rubber boots was all any body could get around in since then about 2 to 3 in of glase Ice on all the Sts last Sunday when I was down with the Letter I went over to the Mason Room they have a fine Radio Set there and some one caught on
