Bill Griffin is at home today, so they must have got the house ready to plaster.

  Pa says "Old Moses" haunts the town house.  he is looking up music and is down there every other day.  Dennis ought to have some hobby, for time must hang long with him, as he is never doing anything these days, it, must be hard for Nellie to have him there at home stewing over his grievances, they are so sympathetic with each other.

  I havnt been any where this week but stayed right here and have got my work ready so to send it along by Wednesday   to day is one disagreeable day to be out.  a dreadful cold wind  by the time Pa gets home from his ride with Jack, I guess he will be glad to stay in where its warm and comfortable.  I am ready with his dinner any time he will arrive.  Sausage meat potatoes, pudding and pies.  I have a whipped cream pie waiting in the pantry for supper time which may taste good to us.

  Now I hope you dont send many Xmas things, no one this year is doing much, here all business is so dull.  and there is not money, the stores are not crowded as in former times, I saw a great difference the day I was over to Brockton.  While waiting for Pa to come home Ralph came up to see him and talk business.  he is in hopes to settle up affairs, but they are fighting for every dollar and it means going to court and using the property up in that way.  Pa says they are obstinant and ignorant hogs so now, I added the last.  so long
