[7 Dec 1924] Doris Am just home from a tramp in the woods for Pine was out a while Tuesday afternoon back of Ferrins but did not find it plenty so went today. I have Enough now for the Wreath I think I have been busy most of the time, this week - a few days Fred and myself in the office it was cold until Friday evening when it rained and yesterday & today warm so the frost is out and this morning I put in Icoxes [[Ixora?]] or what ever the name is in around the rose bushes under the front window there were only 9 of them that seemed to be good two Sure which will never come up the last lot from Laurel Hill was 8 and you sent with the Fox gloves and before I could say how many you should know. we are sending a Box of Plum Pudding shall start it tomorrow perhaps you will be able to spoon it out but hope not, tell us how and when t [sic]reaches you. Isnt [sic] at Church with the Lodge over a hundred turned out, Dix and his family were there next Thursday comes the 125 Anniversary of the Lodge will tell you about it next time 50 above 4 PM.- Pa

There is no plant named Icoxes, but there is a shrub or bush by name of Ixora.
