before dinner
Doris
I hardly know how to begin this letter I have had so many things going thru my mind since I got home. I have of course gone over in my mind the trouble you all took to have me see all was possible while there. I dont hardly know what pleased me the most, but think it is the way you have got settled down in what seems to me to be the only home you have had since your life here. "I like Mrs Foster very much." Now since I came back of course, I have been busy. The cold let up Thursday and Friday & Sat was very warm. To day a little more rain or about the same as you had. Wind to W now and round 40 was 60 Sat I have had the Barn work as which I have put out most of the Old Bulbs and wheeled over 5 barrows of Dressing and covered what I have put in. to morrow I will put in the new Bulbs all in one big bid between the Juniper Bushs and the Maple tree I have a lot of Dressing in the bottom with a little loam on it then bulbs and cover with dirt and dressing the Old ones I have put front of glass door where you dug out the grass

Transcription Notes:
Some people call the mulch they put on top the "dressing".
