The police car was up here, looking for boys that were raising cain hallowene night they were full of mischief I found a cap that one of the bunch lost and gave it to him last night as he was hunting around among the black berry bushes. It still blows strong south wind, my clothes are dry in no time, even to the heavy sweater of Pa's, my black checked dress doesnt wash, the black washes out and I have hard work to make it look presentable, so I dried it quick today, had the wind blow them it and it looks fairly good.

Alfred Wood has moved into the tenement across the way where the Lawsons moved out, they have two children the oldest one a boy and a holy terror but smart. I have had a letter from Alice this week and she has answered an advertisement for a housekeeper in Portsmouth N.H. she dont mean to go out to Illinois if she can get something to do nearer home.

I dont know whether the Blakes price for their tenement is too high or not, but a smaller house rents a greater better and quicker, but their heat provided is certainly something. I dont believe but what the right party will come at last.

Pa is taking off screen doors and I bet after this there'l be more flies in the house than there has been all summer. but he wont mind, he has bought him a new shirt this week and he has to go in and look at it every time he comes into the house, who says these men are not vain?

Well if you are not settled today, I will lose my guess. now you will feel lost in so many rooms and I dont wonder so long Ma.
