Well to day I am sitting around doing nothing. I began the first of the week and mowed the grass in the front of old place and got it all in [[the]] by Friday Sylvester did not show up tomorrow I shall start back of the House and try and do it up by the fourth if I can get good weather we are done on the St work and are to keep away from the Office all of this week. the paper will tell you what they will try and do here Friday it looks now as if we would have an old fashioned time of which we have not had for years the pair of Grosebeaks had their young in one of the Apples trees back of Frank Cupen house and as the young got out of the nest the Loring Cat was on the job and Thursday morning after the little one had staid in one of our sheds all night got it just as I was coming from the Barn. I chased him as well as the Mother Bird I was getting that God Damn Cat and saying I would kill the dam Cat but he got home we have not seen him around since I hope they heard what I said and are keeping him out of sight
