I had seen the supt. of the Island School prior to accepting the Stoneham position, but did not think I cared for it particularly as a yearly place. i thought that I should like it for the summer. Day before yesterday I got another tel. call. I met Mr. [[Somsey?]] again this morning in the Old South Bld. He was in hopes to persuade me to take the place. I had to tell him of the Stoneham contract of course, but said that I should like it for July and Aug. (term begins July 15) He hadn't found anyone else he wanted so let me have it. I hope that I
