that they cost more than they come to from the fact of the great scarcity of corn & good pastorage and they are liable to be stolen.

7th These is great scarcity of money in the County, it having been sent North & other points for the purchase of corn, meat &c - it can safely be put down as a bad stubborn fact that should the corn crop of this year prove a failure hundreds in this County alone (unless supported by the Government & Charity) will suffer terribly for the want of the actual necessaries of life, all of which is respectfully submitted.
