the place I stopped at was at the House of an old quack Doctor, who was the only one in town that was Kind enough to Keep me over night, I, as I have stated was run out of my room, and in order to get a little rest I slept a few hours out doors on some hard Boards and in the [[rain?]] with a linen [[coat?]] under me, next morning I made diligent inquiry for a boarding House but none could be found who had other room, or were willing to accommodate me, I also made inquiry for a Room for office I was also also unsuccessfull in this under these discouraging circumstances I made inquiry where the nearest place was on the line of  R.R. where I would find the accommodation I needed, I was refered to Sardis, where I started for on the next Train. I have comfortable  Quarters close
