There are but few, if any, sick old or infirm suffering from want in my sub-dist.

There is but one in my Sub-dist. which is in Green County near the State Line. Its condition is fair, and promises to be a flourishing school. Mr. Dickson, the instructor is an honest & conscientious man, and seems to be laboring faithfully in the interests of the freedpeople. This School should receive the monthly allowance from the Bureau of $15.00 for an average daily attendance of (25) pupils. Mr. Dickson has been directed to report to me, and as soon as he complies, I will forward the proper school report-.

The marriage relations of the freedpeople is daily improving.

The disposition of the whites toward the blacks has improved since my presence here, but there is room for further improvement.
