Dear Doris

It is pleasant at last & it does seem good to see the sun again. I have just hung out Pa's flannels. have been waiting all the week to get them washed & dried, it is above the freezing mark also. We all realize that March is with us, & are in hopes it will in time blow out. a snowy air has prevailed all the week & Monday the ground was white with snow, a cold day for the Irish to celebrate in South Boston. Monday I wrote to Lena & got a letter from the morning mail from her. Yesterday I also wrote to Alice, but was a little doubtful about reaching her at the Dorchester address as the old man she was taking care of, was liable to go in any of his spells the Doctor told them. she would be
