Stoughton March 16th 1930

Dear Doris.

We have had a windy March week. today is cloudy but still, with wind to the NW. I have just emptied my Sunday morning ashes & my side walk is improving. When Pa carries out ashes he puts them in the driveway. so I try to get them ahead of him.

Well nothing of consequence has transpired since I wrote you last. its so cold I dont go out much for pleasure. I went down to get some apples & Mrs Dikerman was telling about Kate seeing twelve robins in one clump, over in their backyard, picking away at some rotten apples that had been tipped outside of the wall. but they have not come up on the hill
