and Mort Lamb & his brother Wm Curtis. they said they had been up to my house, looking for me, & not finding me there, drove on up to see Hattie Smith, one of his old school mates. we then drove down to Coheno's, another cousins of theirs, & down to Pa's store & saw him, & then he started to the Depot & home. after that we were driven home to Morts. then I came back just in time to see to the fires and get the supper. We are still having mild weather, but todays paper predicts, a change in temperature tonight, with storm warnings along the coast. our mild weather is over I guess for the present. I am baking some ham in milk with water & sugar sprinkled over covered with another dish, just an experiment spinage, & onions, to go with it. & baked potatoes mince pie for desert. Our snow drops have been out for some days now. the iris has started but spring is a good ways off here yet, March is a bad actor in our town Ma
