Stoughton Feb 12th 1930

Dear Doris -
We are having cold but sunshining days our ice is most gone from Mondays thaw. It does seem good to get out once more. I have just been down to Emerys store after a yeast cake, & have mixed up a big batch of bread we eat a lot of bread it seems to me more than other small families. but I have made it all winter & had good bread. I finished your sewing last night, Pa is to mail it this noon.

He has been asked to speak before the womans club the 24th on assesorship, in the Chickatawbut. I think he feels it an honor, and guess will accept the same. He will make a good speech just the same for he wont be backward.
