came away swearing mad.  I guess he would have been the same and had the cramps the rest of the night to boot. 
     The sun is just appearing for the first time this week & it looks good to me here all by myself with no one to speak to lucky there is serving to keep me busy.  
     I have got my new cloth all made up & have begun on yours yesterday.  I shall be glad to have spring come & hear the birds sing also.  I suppose Mrs. Foss is lonesome being among new folks & in a strange country.  does she go to ride with you.  Alice says her rides are all she has to look forward to.  she has to be up till eleven O'clock sometimes so to let them in after they are out in the evening.  they go a lot evenings as they work days.  well theres lots of hard lines in life so one aught not to complain when they can live in their own home & be comfortable.  I will now start to get my dinner. Ma
