Dear Doris

I have had to resort to the front room, as its too cold to sit in any other. we are 6° above zero this morning with snow covering the ground two or three inches or more. the only point with us is the sunshine & in it I am sitting in the little black rocking chair writing the letter. The bundle got here yesterday noon. I thank you for the sweater, its very pretty & no moths will molest it. My old green dress they were fond of, but I have fixed it up, by covering up the front, with some pretty cloth. I had on a petticoat, & wear it every afternoon. it is very respectable looking now

[[top margin]]P.S. Is too bad about Charley Robins I am afraid she is going to see some trouble ahead of her over his property unless he made a will. The sons wife is a queer piece as you heard what she told us about her that day she is capable of making it very unpleasant for her otherwise too bad it had to be. Ma [[/top margin]]
