Dear Doris
After a stormy day it is still cloudy this morning. yesterday it snowed all day. & therefore we have got three or four inches of snow on the ground to make icy going again it is quite mild. a little below freezing & probably the sun will appear later. your letter came yesterday & also one from Alice, she is on duty all day & into the night, as the young folks are great people to be on the go, all the time, so she has to be with the old man except when they take him to ride & she thinks it well worth the price she gets ($10.) to stay there alone, with no one to talk to, her evenings she has always had to herself, I guess she feels pretty lonesome. I pity her. Mystie is still here at Sues. she has not made her appearance up
