Pa was going in town to get him something decent to wear, he set out to go in yesterday, but it was lucky he did not, for about noon, it began to rain and it ended by pouring the whole afternoon long. I was up stairs working on the bed quilt & it grew so dark I had to pull on the lights, in order to see what I was about. The Drakes are still hunting for a house lot to put up a small bungalo, they are bound to come up on our hill, but Pa won't sell them any either side of the old place, not if I have to sign papers, & he has no inclination of it either, they are near enough now. Evelyn is all right, but I've no use for the other members of the house. The baby must be starting with her other two teeth, what made her little feverish spell I guess. I wish she might go ahead on them now before it gets hot weather. Don't worry she is healthy and can stand things Ma.
