to see Mrs Holmes. she talked all about Gertrude & her sickness & the children. she says the baby has been taken from Mrs McKay & is now with her sister in Quincy the old lady is not able to care for the little one any longer, as she is suffering with sores on her legs. I pity him though, he was so attached to him. it was all he had left of Gertrude whome he worshipped. I got your letter yesterday & was surprised to hear you had been sick with another cold. you are working too hard. the baby is too healthy to take it. Sidney may if anybody. the crocus box arrived safe, thanks for the same. Ralph & Maude came up for a while Sunday night. they said the young lads were under the weather, one with tooth ache, & Henry had strained the cords of his leg skating & was on crutches & she had hard work getting food cooked for the bunch. take care of yourself. time for my dinner
