Stoughton Dec 29th 1929

Dear Doris

We are having dull foggy days but with little sun its [[it's]] still slippery going & hard to get about. I have stayed as long as I care to & feel like getting out to try the going myself. Mrs Ring has had a tumble but she scooted out to go to her neighbors after she got home home in the evening Xmas night & fell on his hip, but no bones were broken, lucky that is what I am afraid of, everything is quiet since the holiday. Dr Thours card came the day after, also one from Georgie Briggs. Lena wrote a long letter after she got home. She received a check of $100.00 from Mrs. Andrews on their tree, I was ever so glad for her she makes presents but ought not to no knowing how she is coming out but she is fond
