Lonnie Thompson brought down a peck of nice bawldin [[Baldwin]] apples a week ago they were extra good we are reserving most of them to eat, although they make good pies. I made two mince pies for Xmas but not one was eaten. I made a squash pie yesterday which tasted pretty good. does Miss Foss cook pies? Is she a good cake maker?
