though sumptuous, was rather hard on those who had already feasted the day before. Mr. Andrew went out and got a sirloin steak about 2 1/2 or 3 inches thick. Then came white and sweet potatoes, squash, celery, and olives; jelly, mince pie made in a deep, deep plate - and 5 kinds of ices - figs and raisins. We had started with grape fruit and I had devoured an apple and a quarter previously - (It makes me sweat now to write about it). Then we were not excused (as we begged to be) for supper, but had set before us toast - cheese - excessively sweet baked apples - and cake - cake - cake - cake of all kinds and descriptions - delicious, of course - but very disconcerting - but we rose to the occasion nobly - my arm has promptly gone out of commission - I cannot swing it for my exercises or do much with it,
