Dear Doris,

This is a nice warm sunny morning
The meeting bells are peeling forth their mournful melody + so is Poor Jack he howls every time they ring + I dont wonder. they always give me the Willies. The trees are very pretty if they would remain, but they are dropping fast. the birds are after all the berries. + I am afraid such things are going to be scarce. + they will miss them this winter. I must get a big piece of suet for the wood peckers depend on coming daily for it.
I have been sewing the past week on Betties little night dresses + they are done all but the button holes. I suppose she will get them this week
