you got away. so I must send it to you now she is lonely, as she is all alone & we pity her condition, not able to do much, but looks well. we think. I have taken off all the screens & Pa yesterday took of the doors so we have to keep pretty well shut up, for the flies work in this weather, but it wont last long. I made my grape jell this week & put up four jars of tomatoes yesterday. I am going to have some quinces given to me to preserve Mrs Dykeman has too many, more than she knows what to do with, so I will have to ask Sue how she does hers up, they eat things by wholesale, jelly & Pickillilly [[Piccalilly]], so Alice says. she cant always I told her. I guess she is pretty hearty but is afraid of growing too fat Myrtie is not though. By the way Mildred, Poor thing, is going to have another kid so Alice told me, she asked if I didnt pity Myrtie. she was afraid to tell her all summer but guess it speaks for its self by this time. Well such is life. I guess we all have our trials in this world. hug Betty for Gamma
