at Pocung produce wayang kulit plus few other perforated leather goods such as lampshades, fans, etc; village lies in teh valley at the base of Imogiri & is somewhat more fertile than the uplands (sawah growing) (half of the village in the valley, half on the hillside)

visited house of one of the craft leaders of the village, Pak Hardosoewito
apparently, a fairly high %age of Pocung's sales are unpainted cuttings which are then sent to Jogja establishments, painted there & then sold under the trade name of the Jogja
