comment on Kalurahan figures (attached opposite)
- largest industries in the kal.are arabah, mendong mats, bamboo winnowing trays, bagor weaving
- land picture in the kal. very poor with 236 [ha?] of sawah, 111 ha of tegal, 1083 ha of pedarangan, & 47 ha misc.
- means about 73% of the land in the kalurahan is pekarangan
picture probably even worse for Kajen
- most of land clay soil, only a small amount sandy (8%)
- land per capita is about .1 ha & land per family is about .5-.6ha ((recheck with Pak Lurah - this seems high, esp when most pekarangan))
- 22% of households headed by women
- of the 236 ha of sawah 190 are multicropped with artificial irrigation, while 46 single -
cropped & rain-fed
-BIMAS participation low
-few large animals (32 in kal)
but a lot of goats & sheep ([plus or minus]2000)

(hand written up left side of page)
note also that tho are 2642HH heads, are only 1588 landowners, so that if 1 landowner per HH mead 1054 or roughly ⅔ of HH have no land
