P. Kromo has a son who left for Sumatra about 25 years ago & has never returned home - son makes ceramics in Sumatra, Tanjing Karang area
B. Kromo is the one who makes grabah, Pak Kromo only looks for clay, finds firing materals, & we saw him cutting up clay & mixing with water to soften; no other source of income than B. Kromo's grabah (no ladang, no sawah, no other activities); house very small gedek, one room, dirt floors
pekarangan = 500M^2, planted with bamboo, some pesang in back, pete cina trees along 1 border
B. Kromo make keren, flower pots, kwali
can produce 10 per day, makes every day unless sick ((later said, however, that seldom make - "jarangs membuat" - in the rainy season because their gubuk leaks & hard to dry the products & they sag
