buruh from outside sleep over in the village, sometimes at the peng's house or sometimes they make other arrangements
-co-op began in 1950 - has no apparent funtcions - coop tried to borrow money from bank in 1977 but didn't get 
on the other hand as individuals they have no trouble getting loans
- one of problems with coop is that difficult to make a distinction between what the coop officials are doing for themselves in the way of business, and what they are doing for the coop
