not sure of spelling of village name - Gering or Giring might be  closer
in Pak Buradin's enterprise are 9 boys working borongan - they get paid 2000Rp for completing

visited a 2nd enterprise where 3 boys/men were also making school furniture
were told that all the other carpenters in Gering work individually (secara perseorangan) - wait till "called" (dipangil) - Gering is well-known in the region as a village with many carpenters - usually only "called" to work in Sumenep & the small islands nearby - occasionally do merantau farther afield, however
Buradins boys get 1 meal a day if working borongan
harian workers get 3 meals a day
after Buradin's school contract is over his boys will be on their own again
if get work in town paid harian 1000 - 1250Rp a day
woods used by Gering carpenters are local jati & akasia
jati must be bought at auction from forestry dept & current price is ±40,000Rp per M3 for medium
